About this tool

Convert a CSV file of names and phone numbers into a VCF (vCard) contacts file you can import on iPhone, Android, Gmail and Outlook. CSV to VCF is part of WebToolNest's collection of free everyday utilities. It works instantly in your browser with no account and no installation.

Prepare your CSV

  • Put one contact per row, with column names in the first row โ€” for example Name, Mobile, Email, Company. Separate First name and Last name columns also work.
  • Phone numbers: include the country code (+92, +1, +44โ€ฆ) if you will import on a phone used abroad. Keep leading zeros โ€” if Excel removed them, format the column as Text before saving.
  • Saved from Excel? Use โ€œCSV UTF-8โ€ so names with non-English letters stay correct.

Import the VCF on your phone

  • iPhone: email or AirDrop the .vcf to yourself, open it and tap โ€œAdd All Contactsโ€. Or import it at icloud.com/contacts.
  • Android: open the Contacts app โ†’ Fix & manage (or Settings) โ†’ Import from file, and choose the .vcf.
  • Gmail / Google Contacts: contacts.google.com โ†’ Import โ†’ select the .vcf. They then sync to every Android phone on that account.
  • Outlook: open the .vcf, or import it from the People page.

vCard 3.0 is selected by default because every modern phone and app reads it. Choose 2.1 only for very old phones.
