Converting an Excel contact list
Choose your .xlsx or .xls file — there's no need to save it as CSV first. The first sheet is read, columns are matched automatically (Name, First name, Last name, Phone, Mobile, Email, Company…), and you can fix any column using the drop-downs. A preview of the first vCard shows exactly what your phone will receive.
Common problems
- Phone numbers like 3.00123E+09: Excel turned them into numbers. Select the column, choose Format Cells → Text, and retype or paste the numbers back as text.
- Missing leading zero: same cause — store phone numbers as text, or use the international format (+92 300…).
- Several sheets: only the first sheet is converted. Move the contacts sheet to the front, or copy it into a new file.
- Hundreds of contacts: no problem — they all go into one .vcf file, which phones import in a single step. Need one file per contact instead? Use the ZIP option.
